This article seems basic, but do you know what’s the correct posture that you should have when you are driving?

It is one of the first things that the instructor will teach you in driving lessons and if you understand the importance of good posture when driving, you will see that it really makes a difference both in terms of muscle and safety. See how you should do it:

Legs – Slightly flexed, so when using the pedals you don’t have to fully stretch your legs.

Arms – They should also be flexed and not stretched.

Because in the event of an accident, they help to reduce the risk of joint damage.

Torso – A more upright position but without forgetting the comfort of the lower back, which must be well supported on the seat, such as the shoulder blades.

As for the head and shoulders it must also be well adjusted on the seat and the headrest.

Finally, don’t forget the importance of the belt. It should be tight but not so tight, so you can have a safe and comfortable driving experience.

Ask your instructor to show you how to do it and you will see that it really makes a difference. Have a nice ride!
